With the run-up to Christmas and the colder months now upon us, we understand that this time of year can be difficult for many families and we want to do all that we can to help those who may be struggling this winter.

We know that children are forever losing their woolly warmers at school and these items are essential in keeping them warm through the cold winter months.

From 1st December, we are collecting any unwanted hats, gloves, scarves, and woolly socks as part of our new Winter Warmers campaign in a pledge to help those who need it the most.

Simply pop into any of our practices and drop your donations into the collection boxes in our waiting rooms. We’ll then collect all donations and deliver them to our local food banks ahead of Christmas. Thank you for your kindness.

Now more than ever, families across the North East are struggling to purchase essentials, including oral health supplies. We are passionate about helping families and, as part of our Giving Back Commitment, we’ve established relationships with food banks across the North East to help give back to those that need it the most within our community. Additionally, we’re donating 5% of sales of our sundry products such as toothbrushes and toothpastes to the food banks each quarter.

Anti-bullying week is back, and we are proud to be in partnership with anti-bullying charity Kidscape for a third year running, to help children grow in confidence and challenge bullying.

As well as raising vital funds for the charity, we’ve created a confidence guide with Kidscape, written by young people, for young people, and packed with useful positive tips. You will also find lots of useful parent and carers resources over on their website below.

This month we were delighted to welcome Amjid Khazir, the Director and Founder of Media Cultured CIC who delivered an incredibly powerful anti-racism workshop.

Not only did the workshop support our team in learning to promote safeguarding and inclusion to implement throughout our practices, but it also inspired us to become the best version of ourselves by reflecting on our values and those of our colleagues.

Guy has been a busy bee! As well as his usual practice duties, he also squeezed in a two-day trip to London to be a guest speaker at this year’s UKI roadshow! Hailed as the ultimate experience for Invisalign doctors and their teams, it was a fantastic opportunity for Guy to connect with colleagues and technology experts in the industry and share ideas about today’s digitally driven dental practices.
